Just installed vent visors on car today (my wife loves them). The dealer wanted $128 for them, I bought them from E Bay for $29.99 plus shipping after looking at them on B2FiNiTY's car. THANKS 4128 for them
HIC USA 2012 2013 Toyota Prius C Window Vent Shade Visor Rain Guards | eBay get em here. but it seems like the seller has changed... quite odd...
damn, i see that it holds on by 3m tape, how are they holding up for you? i was really trying to get ones that clip in place. i think the OEM ones do that
The JDM OE ones clip in while also utilizing 3M tape. You might want to wait for in channel ones. The HIC ones are holding up great for me. I push em once in awhile to make sure they are good and they haven't weakened at all over time.
It's always been my opinion, you get what you pay for. 128 for clip-on's or 50 for stick-on's ? Clip-on's win every time and I'm sure the material quality is different too. Sorry, I just can't see wasting 50 bucks for a short term fix to a long term requirement. It's counter intuitive and will cost more in the long run. Not picking on anyone, just stating the FACTS.
because the 3m tape will come off sooner or later. im not sure where i heard it from but if you go thru a car wash the visors with tape will sometimes come off.
I've run the 3M tape ones on several cars throughout the years, longest one being 6 years. Never had a problem of it ever getting lose. The day I removed them to sell the car, they were still stuck on there tough as heck. Of course, everyone's opinion experience and opinion may vary.
honestly ive never used 3m tape to hold anything. just the way i am i guess. i just dont trust it. but if it works it works.
you should try it sometime. 3M Car PET Double Sided Adhesive Tape - Red (10mm-Width) - USD $ 4.99 this stuff is really strong. just make sure you have a clean surface to mount it. i've used it to mount bumper lips, gauges, hid ballasts, etc and they've lasted throughout all sorts of weather and abuse.
