Just bought a new Prius since the Jeeps were getting expensive to operate.

I have been driving Jeeps in winter since 1970. Mainly plowing the white stuff.

I didn't want to try driving with stock tires so I picked up a set of Winter tires from Tire Rack. Came in two days just in time for the first snows.

They are General Altimax Arctic 195/65R15. So far I've seen a 5 mpg drop just from switching over. Still 48 vs 14 mpg. I'm still smiling.

Welcome aboard! Great choice in snow tires... that is what I run, studded. My life time average is also about 48.
    Stay warm!
