My g/f and I are looking at the Prius for our new car but, I've got a few questions about them. To start I'm not exactly thrilled about buying a forerun car but it does seem for the moment to be the better option in Hybrid cars. I like performance, but have come to the conclusion that I also need a car I can save some money with. But I'm also very into moding things, my truck,car and even my John Deere all have been moded in some form. My questions. Whats the performance like with the Prius? What are some of the more popular mods? Anyone make programing changes to there PCM/EEC? Are there aftermaket performance parts?
1. It accelerates like any other non-tuned 4 cylinder car. You don't feel its quickness mostly because of the CVT-type transmission that doesn't shift so it's a smooth power delivery, not the kick-back that you feel with a regular transmission. 2. Not including Toyota accessories, some popular mods are the EV mod, iPod kit (DICE or VAIS), BT Plate (replaces stock underfloor brace), upgrade tyres 3. No 4. Only TRD or Sportivo suspension kits, front braces and rear braces
