Just chiming in to say hello and state that as a lurker before signing up found this forum a wonderful place to learn and to discuss Prius. Seems like Toyota has a done a good job in attracting new comers to the hybrid game, since mpg is not the sole purpose of her wanting this vehicle although it's very important as she does approx 90 miles per day driving primarily highway. Wifey should be getting her 4 with ATP and PCP by the weekend. We informed the salesperson that color didn't matter so long as it wasn't black. She prefers silver as it hides imperfections better and wanted the 4 with the bells and whistles which she probably won't ever use LOL. Hopefully we didn't make a mistake as we left her trade behind on Sunday and they gave us a loaner (/Camry ) until her Prius arrives. No contracts were signed although a credit check was done and an out the door figure agreed upon. Hopefully they won't change that , if they do we'll walk. A few mods will hopefully done as well, window tint and perhaps a clear front bra. All our previous cars have had the latter however I'm finding myself merely protecting the car for the next owner. Anyone know if the Prius chips easily like most other water based painted cars ? BTW, also enjoyed watching the Prius chat videos on YouTube. LG-H901 ? ?
congrats and welcome! that is a very interesting way to do business. yes, the prius chips VERY easily, as you can find many threads on chips and front end protection. all the best, i hope your purchase goes smoothly.
Thanks for warm welcome. Not sure if I'm doing this correctly but when using southeast. buyatoyota.com it shows a few 4's with the options she wants arriving 4/15 and 4/14 this week for this dealer. The color preference was silver else anything else except for black with the same options. Would anyone know if that website is accurate in respect of dates and availability of vehicles being shown? Thanks LG-H901 ? ?
