My 2021 Prius bottomed out on the cap of an underground gas tank while driving into a Cumby's gas station. Nothing leaking. Car was operating fine on the 4 miles to home. The next day we had "Hybrid System Malfunction" and "PKSB Malfunction" signs flashing on this Memorial day weekend. My husband put the car up on ramps and there is a 2 foot long scuff mark in the middle of the plastic cover of the undercarriage. But no breaks or dents in the plastic cover. I've had this car for a year and nothing like this has happened before. My husband used an OBD2 on the car today but no codes were revealed. Any advice greatly appreciated!
wrong scanner. take it to a dealer, or diy with mini vci, tech stream and laptop. that takes some tech savvy. could be coincidence, but hard to believe they are not related. seems like a wire got nicked or something: ch04se050409 pksb-malfunction.212108
I agree, need a good scanner like what a dealer has and the high-voltage system in our Prius requires a specially-trained mechanic. Sorry that happened...keep us posted!
