i am thinking about purchasing a 2012 Prius 3 package with sport tune suspension w/solar roof.. my question is it worth it and is the ride on the sport tune suspension an animal meaning do you feel every bump on the road.. i found a blue one at the local stealership or should i just get a regular 2012 package 5 prius and just be happy with life.
I'm not sure what you mean by sport turned suspension. Do you mean the Prius Performance Plus package? With 17" wheels, lowering springs etc.? If so then you are going to feel the same amount of bumps in the road with either the Five or the PPP. It's the 17" tires that get ya. The PPP springs are pretty soft. The PPP looks nicer and you get the solar roof which trumps the LED headlights IMO. Can you handle driving a lowered car with ground effects though?

Nah. I have a Three with solar and 17s but not the PPP. I've ridden around in a Prius lowered with the PPP springs and sway bar though. It handles nice but it almost feels softer than stock. The low profile tires are what stiffens the ride. The other benefit of the PPP is the wheels are nicer and lighter than the Five and the tires are better. The Five comes with Toyo Proxes A20 and the PPP comes with Michelin Primacy MXM4.
So the big decision is: Leather, comfort, LED headlights and 7.1" screen = Five Cloth, performance handling, halogen headlights, 6.1" screen and solar roof = Three with PPP
NP man. FWIW I think the Three with PPP would look pimp compared to a regular Five and you can install a cheap HID which is almost as good as the LED headlights. Then save up for a Clazzio leather seating kit.

ok i did it, i pulled the trigger and purchased a 2012 prius 3 sport tune package i found out that with sport tune upgrade it comes with updated LED headlights, solar roof and full upgrades to much to list. i went with blizzard pearl white. should be arriving by monday
ok i am super happy!! today my 2012 prius arrived at 6am just off the truck it is soooooooooooooooooooooo bitchn' in person i went with blizzard pearl it has the holgen head light with LED running lights on top of it.. solar roof sport tune package... i will post a picture of it..
one more thing when i went shopping at the local dealerships for a prius that i wanted, when i would close the door on the prius the sound when closing the door sounded like a empty can of soda kinda like TING!! very thin metal but on my new prius it sounds very firm and quiet it does not have that cheapy door feel, like there other prius's that i test drove, my car arrived from Florida.. damn arizona dealership suck so i went out of state for my new baby..
