Toyota has discovered that its Prius automobiles were delivered to North America without electronics standard in the Prius models delivered elsewhere in the world. One Group V.P. said Toyota regrets the inconvenience of the recall, but reports "Prius owners' complaints of the missing EV button can be ignored no longer. We will install this missing component for all current second generation Prius HSD vehicles at no cost to Prius owners. The entire service will be completed in 25 minutes, including the interior detailing and car wash."
