Hello Madison Hybrid Group members and friends, Time once again for the Madison Hybrid Group meeting! This Saturday, March 14th. 10:00 am - Noon. This month we will talk about the new Honda Insight (coming out in April) as well as more buzz about the new Prius. It'll also be atime to discuss the other upcoming hybrids by Ford and others. Steve Helwig will be there this month to tell us about his independent hybrid auto shop up in Mt Horeb, Helwig Auto Clinic (Steve was originally scheduled for January's meeting but had a last minute emergency and couldn't make it.) Get ready for springtime with the warming temps and increasing mpg. Yay! Be sure to bring your latest hybrid question about your vehicle as well as any new discoveries you have to share. We'll meet at the usual place, Smart Motors at 5901 Odana Rd. in Madison. Drive in the main entrance (at the stoplights) and you'll see our designated parking area straight ahead against the Beltline side of the parking lot. Saturday is a regular sales day for the dealership, and they would like to set aside a parking area for our club, so please RSVP on this post or IM me letting me know if you will be coming so that we have enough spaces. Thanks! We look forward to seeing you there!!
I used to live in Madison a lifetime ago. Worked at WISC-TV 3. Is the RED SHED still off State Street, at the time it was my favorite watering hole!!! Not to mention the Church Key!!
KK6PD, The Red Shed and Church Key are still around. The Red Shed hasn't changed much over the years. The Church Key may be diffeent depending on how long ago you were in town. I want my PHEV, We'll see you at the meeting!
Yeah I left Jan 1st 1979, I remember it was a Monday, we had just gotten over a 3 day blizzard!!! They opened the airport just in time for my flight! Landed in 80 degree weather!! Been here ever since. I did make a return visit about 2 years later, stopped in the Red Shed, and I swear I saw the same friends, occupying the same bar stools, nursing the same beers, as when I left. I bet some of them are still there!!! Hope your event goes very well! I miss Madison in the summer, but certainly not the winter!!!
