    Hi all quick question

A few months back I bought an 07 with unknown history and a bad hybrid battery so the hybrid battery was replaced and straight after it had some codes for brakes along with a hard pedal which was quickly sorted with Techstream via the linear valve reset procedure. It has been driving perfectly ever since with no trouble codes but noticed the brake pump never kicks in when opening the driver door (RHD - Australia) no matter how long since the car was last driven, an hour or a week ..

There is no current trouble codes and the brakes are working normally and pumping up with every few presses of the pedal when driving.

When the drivers door is opened it gives a little click and a clunk like they do but the pump does not come on until driving ..

PS the door switch and interior light are working fine so the car definitely knows when the door has been opened!

    Any clues guys?

    Thanks ..

    Cheers :)

I wouldn't let that worry me for a second if I'm stopping breaking and everything is working fine no worries I know some people report the thing running from now to Sunday if they get near the car and so on I've got a couple cars that do this in a couple cars that don't but every one of them will throw you through the windshield braking or they brake very well. So I'm not running down why I don't hear crickets etc everything else in the car is working perfectly no codes nothing to see on a scope very boring so we don't spend time and money on that here but it is interesting. Maybe your system holds pressure so well that when the doors open it doesn't need any pump hallelujah. I would think that would be a good thing a real sealed braking system. I mean I'm supposed to believe that this big aluminum block in this fancy accumulator can't hold whatever it is of pressure for an hour or something that seems almost funny but yeah all that.
