2007 with 291k miles on the clock. Intermittently loses the heads up display on the dash. Killing the 12v for about 5 seconds resets it. Sometimes it will start working all by itself. Seems to do it more when fuel level is below 50% Any ideas? I have installed a battery switch on the ground wire to speed up the reset process. Thanks Steve SM-G955U ?
You can DIY and replace the failing capacitors, or buy one that has the 299k odometer limit fix, the capacitors replaced, your current mileage programmed, and includes a lifetime warranty at : Prius Speedometer Replacement The ground switch fix, or other tricks can last for some time (or not), and may leave you stranded with a 'no start' situation.
