Pricing out current model year Prii and wondering if doing away with the Touring even though you get 17" wheels on the limited is actually the same thing on 2016 to 2018? On my current 2009 Touring, it's not just the wheels but the suspension is completely different. I can four wheel drifted my 2009 on on/off ramps that would have flipped the non touring 2nd gen examples I've driven. I assume the 2016 Touring model is not just wheels but also a more aggressive suspension setup for street driving. If so, does the 2019 do away with that even though 17" wheel are standard on the Limited trim. If they've truly done away with the Touring suspension then I'll be shopping for a 2016. FYI, I'd prefer a 3rd gen Five with Advanced Tech Package but there are non available with low miles anywhere near where I live and only 4 or 5 nationwide. The advanced tech package seems to be ultra rare in the 3rd gen Prius.
We don’t know the specification of the Limited but given it’s the top model, an assumption can be made that it’s just the regular setup but with 17” wheels. 2016-2018 Touring models do have specific bushings and different shocks for a firmer ride.
None of the 2019 levels in Canada have the 17" wheels, aka Touring. I wasn't enamoured with those 4th Gen 17" rims either, so maybe a wash.
