The title pretty much tells it all. I have a friend and co-worker who got a Salsa package#6 at MSRP right off the lot. He admitted this was not his first color choice. This is the first time I have heard of this is San Diego. Supplies are definitely getting better. And if you are lucky and not to picky you might get a Prius without having to wait.
I'll second that. I went test driving last Wed, Apr. 6. Toyota of San Diego (who I would NEVER recommend) had quite a few #3 and #6 but no #1. Toyota of El Cajon had one online in inventory. Mossy Nissan had two black which was what I was looking for. I went to Kearny Mesa Toyota because it's near my parents. They had quite a few on the lot. I chose the Black #1 and bought it after a test drive. I wanted Black with a gray interior but they had Black with a ivory interior. My old car was Black ext, tan inter. so it wasn't that big a deal. I would have like to have a Blue with gray interior but they don't come that way. No way I'm ordering a car. Mine was the fourth car they sold that day. Another one was sold right after mine. All from cars just on the lot. Nope...no shortage. I even got the salesman to buy me a cargo tote for the back for free! I would recommend Kearny Mesa Toyota in a hearbeat. Ask for Howard Sheehy...he's a nice guy.
