Wow! I can't believe I just found out about this today thanks to a friend on FB. Apparently it launched in April 2011 as Ovi Maps 3D beta (Nokia launches Ovi Maps 3D beta, challenges Google Earth as your virtual tour guide of choice -- Engadget). Ovi is a dying brand that's being phased out (that probably most in the US have never heard of). Nokia Maps 3D You'll need to install a browser plugin. So far, I'm most impressed by the Vegas content (I was just there recently). Venice was pretty cool too (was there last year).
