Just to update those interested in getting better audio from the basic audio that doesn't have JBL enhancements. I replaced front and rear door speakers with 3 ohm JBL "club" speakers. Went from the stock Toyota 6x9 to a JBL 6.5 dia. for the front doors, and for the rear doors to a 6 dia. Sound is MUCH better. Indeed it is good enough to live with. I listen mostly to CDs and sometimes to FM radio -- 99% of the time classical music. Taking out old, putting in new for me, a novice, took about 1/2 a day for each set of doors. 2015 Gen 3, type 2 Prius.
