Normal for the car to shutdown after 1m30s when charging and power is on?

So this morning we went to the bank and there, they have free charging. So my wife went in the bank and I stayed in the car listening to music while the car charged. Except, after one minute and thirty seconds, the car auto shutdown, but charging continued. Is it normal? Is there a way to prevent that? I saw people mentioning 10 minutes but not a minute and a half.
