They're buying them from Bay Area dealers and getting ahead of "normal" Prius buyers, too. The dealer I bought from, Toyota 101, had a huge order from AAA just after I took delivery of my Prius. My salesman told me the Prius buyers behind me had gotten pushed out by months due to this sudden order. And I'm sure they weren't the only dealer supplying them.
