I tried using the search and gave up. I know this question has been asked many, many times. What is the best replacement tire for fuel economy for a Prius? Thanks for your patience.
Actually, I don't know if it has been asked in that form. I would not be surprised if the Integrities, esp. pumped up to full pressure, are the best FE tires, even though they are deficient in almost every other category.
If you are only looking at fuel economy, focus on the rolling resistance of the tires. You want something labeled LRR (Low Rolling Resistance). Better yet, go to one of the tire websites that list the rolling resistance of almost every tire made. The crappy OEM tires that come with the Prius in the U.S. aren't bad for rolling resistance. I switched to Micheline MXV4+ Energy tires, which are a high end LRR all season tire. There is already a lot of information on these forums about tires. I count 9460 hits when searching for "tires". actually, why do a lot of people say that the goodyear integrity's are crappy? i'm not trying to start an argument, just dont know why these tires are hated.
