Not seeing ABS indicator light

    I've been driving in snow recently. I'm pretty sure the ABS kicked in based on feeling some slippage, but never saw an indicator light come on. I do see the traction control indicator come on during acceleration. Is the light supposed to come on when ABS kicks in? Does it only kick in during hard braking?

    The ABS light comes on when you have a failure in the braking system. You don't want to see that light.

    You should see it only before the car is "ready" to go
