Some of the extensions I need aren't supported (yet.) I can't use some iWon.com content unless an extension removes the forwarding off the now-corporately-evil-I-guess iWon site. Beyond that, slightly faster on page loads than 1.0.7... Rapid update on Redirect Remover. I'm all happy now...
Yeah, a couple extensions and themes don't yet have updates. That's okay, I know they will catch up. The good news is that I've updated Firefox. Thanks, tag!
With Firefox, the "My Assistant" link on PriusChat does not work. It opens a new window, but does not display the informatio that IE does (e.g., a link to my ten most recent posts.)
Maybe one of your settings in FF? "My Assistant" works fine for me in v1.5, same as it did in the beta and RCs. But I am having a rendering issue on a couple of sites with v1.5 that I did NOT have with any earlier version.
But what settings? IE has an enormous list of check-boxes somewhere around Security / Advanced or something like that. I cannot find more than a tiny handfull of settings in Firefox 1.5 I cannot even find a button to restore default settings!
daniel, I got mine to "break" simply by removing Priuschat.com from my list of "allowed sites" for popups. Try this: At the top of Firefox click TOOLS and then OPTIONS. That will bring up a box in which you will click on CONTENTS. The very first line should read "Block Popup Windows" and should have a checkmark in the little box to the left of the text. To the right, there is tab that reads "Allowed Sites". Click that and enter the URL for Priuschat under "Address of web site" (just copy and paste the PC URL). Should work. After I removed the URL for Priuschat and clicked "My Assistant", I was just getting the PC home page. When I re-inserted the home page for PC as an "allowed site", "My Assistant" functioned normally.
If you wouldn't mind, please use this link to download the new Firefox (helps PriusChat): Firefox 1.5 Link
And if you click on that Internet Explorer link . . . you can help Symantec sell more of their Norton Security Suite software.
Uh, yeah, I've done that. Like a moron, while using IE and on the Yahoo! home page, I clicked a link I didn't intend to click. Before I knew what was happening, a nice little dialer was just about done being installed. Took me forever to get rid of its traces later, too. .....and, again, THIS was a link on the real Yahoo! home page. Only Fx from now on.
I avoid dialers (or at least I avoid their working) by not having a phone line attached to my computer.
Does anyone here use AdBlock? Are you having problems with it? When I go to pull up a list of blockable items, the list is blank. At first, I thought this was the work of some sneaky programmers hiding their code but I tested it on multiple sites and all with the same results. I checked another computer and got the same result. There is no update for AdBlock to what I'm using. I can still "copy image location" and then paste that into the AdBlock window but there's still some underlying issue. Anyone?
I was noticing this blank ad-block too, but I thought it was just because the page didn't have anything to block. You're right.. this is broken. I am still using 0.5d2 build 39. http://adblock.mozdev.org/dev.html has a more up-to-date version (d40), and there seems to be an Adblock Plus: http://bene.sitesled.com/adblock.htm which is a community-based improvement of Adblock.
Thanks for the confirmation and the links. I swear I thought I was losing my mind. Yeah, I have 5.2.039 also.
