Try these! - Ars Technica OpenForum If you pretend that in a normal car, that the alternator speed depends on the engine speed and this somehow needed voltage stabilization, (which I am not saying it does) in a Prius there is no alternator and the 12 volt inverter has no relation to engine speed.
And even in systems that need some kind of filtering/stabilization........the BATTERY serves that function quite nicely in most situations. Snake oil indeed.
