Be great if it works: Nybolt, based in Cambridge, has developed a new 35kWh lithium-ion battery that was charged from 10% to 80% in just over four and a half minutes in its first live demonstration last week. This electric car battery takes less than 5 minutes to charge | CNN Business
The battery is just 35kWh; around half the capacity of other EVs. The 5 minute charge is about 25kWh. How long would it take a Tesla or Ioniq to add that much charge? A 100 to 150 mile EV wouldn't be bad, if there was plenty of chargers around that can supply that fast charge.
