I am only going to be able to go to the Sierra Club meeting, but not this one. I was originally going on a vacation from that Wed. to that Sat. but changed it to go to one of them, so I chose the Sierra Club event. -Brian
AZ is where I am going when I leave that Saturday morning. Where in AZ do you go? I am going to Presscott.
My wife's family is in Surprize, near Sun City West and Glendale. If she gets her way, we'll be moving there within a year :-/ I'm not big on the heat... but housing is cheap
meetings We are going to attend both sierra and owners, Friday we will have both our cars, my 02, and my partners 04. Saturday we will bring the 04. See you there. Charles & Roy
My wife and I are still looking foward to attending the event on Saturday. Mel & Christina 04 Silver BC/#9
Thanks to all who showed up, and thanks to Brian for letting me try out his Segway! I sighted 3 more Prius after I left, 2 Driftwoods within a block of our meeting that weren't at the meeting, and a white w/ Barstow Toyota plate rings coming up Bake Pkwy in Lake Forest.
Orange County Meeting on Saturday 7/24/2004 Rick, That is interesting that you saw more cars when you left the meeting. A group of us also met another Prius owner when we were leaving. She had just stopped at Hofs Hutt, with no knowledge of the Orange County Group and no idea that we had been having a meeting. I normally see so few Prius on the road that it was a kick to see so many in one place. And then see more. Do you think there was some kind of energy being created that was pulling in more cars? Anyway, it was nice to meet you. And thanks for answering our technical questions. Mel & Christina
OC Prius meeting July 24th -Pics Brian on his Segway Everyone had fun riding it! It fits nicely into the Prius! Brian then went to a Segway event and talked to a person who was picking his Prius up the next day in Stockton (quite a few miles away) and he called us and I was able to direct him to the Prius Pickup Checklist. Cool. Cathy
Great turnout at OC Prius Club meeting. We had about 20 people, including one Prius from New York and another from Glendale, and about 11-13 cars (though not all at one time- here in California we have traffic!). Nice socalilizing, sharing of modifications (Leather seats, pinstiping, EV button, chrome wheels, 2 different types of Hybrid stickers, etc.) . Eveyone was mentioning the slight decrease in mileage due to Air Conditioning (we have a hot spell going). Click here for Orange County Prius Club Web site Then another pic:
Thanks for Saturday!!! Many kudos to Cathy & George for getting us organized, complete with hand-outs and finding the best waiter in Orange County to put up with all of us. FUN! Thanks so very much! Paulie & Al Davis Glendale
Yeah, that was a fun event. I also saw the 3 other Prii when Rick and I left, (We left at the same time, both of us had places we had to go). When I was at the Segway meet afterwards, I talked to Robb, and after he left, another guy that is on this board, Davidbw, showed up with his Tideland #9 and pulled out his Segway. So that was pretty cool to see that we both were interested in the same 2 things. We also took Pictures that I will post when I get back from Prescott Az tomorrow evening. -Brian
