Does anyone know if Toyota will be doing an incentive in October? I live in upstate New York and the best deal I've seen so far is a $23,751 for a Prius II. Is this a good price, or can I do better in my area?
I would have to say in general that they are/will offer significant discounts to clear 2012 inventory and to generate business over the slow parts of the year. Just this morning in my SW Florida paper, a Toyo dealer has a sales ad that identifies most of their Toyo line. Included is a 2012 Prius 2, is advertised at a Was price of $27,337 and Discounted price of $21,984 .... supposedly discounted by $5,353 as noted in the ad. BUT, be aware, this dealer and most others have outlandish "Dealer Fees" add-on of up to $1,800 that might be figured into these Was and Discounted prices. It seems that a Prius 2 Windowed stickered at $27K is quite high; but, many have add ons like leather, dimming inside mirror, wheels, etc. So, maybe this Priuis 2 is one of those. Regardless, expect some significant pricing now and on through the fall ... Good luck, Regards, Radman
In SoCal, I have some pretty great incentives that started today. There's 0% apr for up to 60 months, and a $1500 cash bonus for using it. That is for customers who are tier 1 and 1+. For leasing, there are stairstep rates that start at .00001 for tier 1+ buyers. All leases that are for those with tiers 1, 2, and 3 credit get a $2000 cash bonus applied against the lease drive offs. On a lease, it makes for a very low payment!
Is the $2000 cash bonus on the lease drive offs coming from the $2500 federal tax credit going to the lessor?
