Is there some way to "sync" one of the trip odometers with the actual mileage on the car? I use Trip-A for my measurements between fill-ups and use Trip-B to confirm actual mileage on the car. Unfortunately, I accidentally reset Trip-B a couple fill-ups ago and I'd like to get it back in sync. I know I don't need to have my mileage down to the 1/10 of a mile. It's just one of my little quirks. If my ODO reads 67600, I'd like Trip-B to read 7599.6 (or whatever). Thanks!
Ummm....If your Odo reads 67600 doesn't that mean that your car has 67600 miles? I don't think it is possible to sync the Trip B and the ODO unless you never reset Trip B ever. FWIW, I use Trip A to track current tank mileage, Trip B to track mileage since last oil change / service. Odo = mileage on car.
Not sure about Prius, on my '07 Camry Hybrid, to clear the MAINT RQD light (5,000 Mile Oil Change alert), you need to reset TRIP A. Therefore, I use TRIP A for distance since oil change and TRIP B for distance on the tank. Concerning synchronizing the a TRIP readout with the odometer, I would say that it is most likely not possible (at least at the "normal" user level).
I think I finally caught on to what you are asking. I also think that it *may* be possible to sync under special circumstances: Wait until you are almost at a round 70000 miles (or whatever the next mileage rounded to the nearest 10,000 miles). Once you reach the rounded mileage, stop the car, and reset Trip B to 0. Now when you have 70,132 (or whatever), Trip B will read 132.0 (or whatever)
