I've been lurking - commented a handful of times - and learning what I could to move myself from wanting a Prius v to now getting one. Thank you to many for your helpful posts as I will be referencing them a lot. Here is the 2017 Prius v 5 I got today ... 127k on it, so I will be referencing many posts on my way to being a DIY'er.
She looks to be in fine shape. I bought mine (2013) in Feb 2019. It had 80k on the clock when I bought it. Now I have 235k on it. At around the 200k mark I got a new battery. I've also had the EGR cleaned twice already. The car does NOT burn oil and still runs very well. You take care of her and she will last a long time. Most importantly, clean that EGR. Will save you some grief down the road. Best of luck! iPhone ?
It appears that way - rare indeed, and I truly hope so! I'm into it about 600 miles over these few days, and aside from the engine "on/off" moments becoming the new-norm for me (spooked me a few times coming from regular gas cars), it appears to be in good shape. I opted for a Toyota dealer to do a PPI, and was able to get the guy at the dealership to speak with me normally (ie, as a friend) despite the car being from another dealer, and he said "buy it!" which was a vote of confidence I was hoping for. I feel blessed.
Happy to hear that for you, and yes, I need to get acquainted with the DIY videos, necessary tools, and roll up my sleeves to get things done. * No on the iPhone, but might get a cheap iPad and run it off my visible+ pro account.
