Just completed a coast-to-coast trip with 2019 standard Prius, close to fully loaded, w/ a fair amount of Interstate 'speed limit + 5mph ', with whole days into strong head winds where engine ran 100% duty cycle all day (normal driving ~ 65%) and was curious about whether 10kmi intervals are realistic. Mobil 1 0W-16, Toyota filter, 9.3kmi on oil, ~ 53kmi total. NAPA analysis results seem normal, Iron 7ppm, Al 4ppm, Si 22ppm, viscosity within range (6.9 @ 100 degrees) and TBN getting low (1.9) - the oil seems likely okay to 10,000mi. though am wondering if more cold starts would have consumed more of it. The first 2kmi on oil was a mix of around town and freeways. Curious about the Si level because many report lower - the air filter (Toyota) had 20kmi. with just light dust at the tops of the folds, clean below 1/8in. into folds and clean on back side. Will check again for air leaks. but things seem tight.
Did you have any previous analyses done? Saw a YouTube video yesterday where poster claimed to have had samples of Toyota oil and Mobile 1 compared (both fresh, new oil) and Toyota’s oil showed more additives. I found that interesting.
