This seems to be a rather positive review on the Opel Ampera and how well it drives. The only culprit is the price of roughly 43k Euro's in the standard form with 48k price tag with options. The range in EV mode is identified as ~45 miles before the battery with a capacity of 16kWh is empty and the range extender ICE kicks in. it is way too expensive... Prius "base" is 25k in Germany, and Prius Executive is 29k.... Base is like Prius III. Almost 20k Euro difference is huge... thats 26k USD difference.

At least they didn't write "Ampera" down the side of the car. I've seen 3 Volts with "Volt" down the side. At first I thought it was a dealer promo but one of them seems to be owned by a fireman.
Yep ... and the only culprit from that wonderful corporate jet that I'd like to buy? ... same thing ... price tag. If it's price is higher than what the average shmoe can pay, and the average shmoe makes less and less, well, there goes your market.
