It is that time again! The Orange County Prius Club will have a gathering on Sat, Aug 13th at Fuddruckers restaurant in Lake Forest ( 23621 El Toro Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630 - note some NAV systems will be incorrect- I 5 , exit El Toro road to the North, and about the third traffic light - on the left (though they are tearing up El Toro, so it could be a bit different). Noon- gathering in the parking lot to check out everyone's ride (note- each Prius will fill out a sheet and put it under the front wiper- with your name and any modifications listed (or wanted). ). At about 1 pm we will go into eat, into the party room. Updates on the Transportation Act and if /when we can use the HOV lanes for Single Occupancy (http://www.ocprius.com/hov.html) and we will go over how to put an address into your NAV system while moving - without any electrical changes (pictures on http://www.ocprius.com/nav.html) . Also Art managed to get some nice Raffle prizes. RSVP if you are coming. Great meeting! about 29 cars and at least 40 people! Greg Hanssen brought his Plug In Prius, even had the a Green party candidate for Congress, plus one member even brought their own bed in the Prius (yes it fits!). It was interesting that ALL except 2 had ALREADY applied for the carpool lane sticker ( our group had been busy on email notifications and links to all the members). That was way cool. Discussion of placement was lively as well as 2006 changes and methods of increasing gas mileage. Pics will be posted in a few days. Cathy ocprius.com
