Looking for the best deal in scanners for Toyota Hybrids. Not interested in Techstream high prices. Anyone have experience with Otofix D1 scanner with Toyota Hybrids?
A simple Bluetooth OBD2 reader costs like $20 and is essential to keep in your glove box so if your car shuts down rather than waiting for a tow truck you can use Car Scanner App, Dr. Prius and others to read and clear error codes. Meanwhile, for $25 you can buy a mini VCI dongle to connect an old laptop up with Toyota Techstream software: 2023 MINI VCI TIS Techstream V18.00.008 TIS J2534 For Toyota Inspection Cable | eBay As for spending hundreds of dollars on Otofix D1, that doesn't make sense if you're trying to save money. It probably doesn't even have hybrid specific reference libraries in it, but who knows? If you do try, please let us know how it worked out?
