Took our three week old 2007 to the car wash and when we got home I saw the outside rearview mirror painted plastic cover was missing. By the time we got to the car wash it had been run over by several vehicles. Anyone have problems with these covers falling off especially in car washes.
Have taken ours through laser guided touchless carwash at least 6 times and no problems with anything...YET Sorry to hear about the cover coming off, was this a touchless or did it have the old style Brushes on the wash

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ystasino @ Jun 18 2007, 01:57 AM) </div> I agree. I just replaced my mirror covers with the signal ones off of ebay. The OEM ones snap into place and there are no screws. However, there are about 6 snaps and they are fairly difficult to unsnap without at least 4 hands. There is no way those suckers would come off without removing the mirror glass and working from the inside to release those catches. The mirror was either assembled incorrectly (cover not really on all the way) or had multiple catches broken. Either that or that's one H--- of a car wash. - Tom
