I've read a little bit about this this is on the latest acquisition mid-08 this car has no codes at all this one just pops up at random. When I look at it in tech the things that are highlighted in orange for the 1151 cookie are just showing me five and 10% differences in the temperature of what's in the tank it looks like and the few other things are in orange but they're within 8 to 10% of the previous number that it's showing me and the lines are one to four or whatever all that means the freeze frame data so on and so forth. The heat is working fine I keep it set it like 74 during our winter here in the Carolinas and that's about it It never moves from that The temperature coming out the vents is right about 74°, nothing is overheating everything is full The radiator and all that is fine perfect temperature car drives wonderfully all the heat pumps and the coolidge storage tank pumps or pump seem to be working The things that are in orange and tech in the data list for this code don't seem to be making good sense these parameters would be tighter than 10%?.

What does the CHS system do on a cold startup?

Run the car until it's hot. Turn off the heater-A/C blower. The next morning, go to ignition ON (not ready). Connect your capable scantool and look at ECM data for ECT and CHS (water outlet) temperature senors.

Both should read near ambient. Switch to ready. The CHS pump should run for about 5 seconds and both temps should go up (I've seen rise of 80-100°F) before the ICE starts.

If you don't have or won't use a capable scantool for this, then I can't help you.

I'm using tech I just didn't know what I was looking for tech lights up things in orange when I click on the code and what I'm seeing are some slight temperature variations I did not do this before the car started I'll try it in the morning looks like I was seeing coolant tank temperatures of around 104° like 55 seconds after the car started or something like that And it's showing me in orange under the other frames where it was 102 106 109 and then the 104 that I just had heat seems to work great I'll see what it does before starting and right after No work has been done nothing has been unplugged I just changed the CM monitor yesterday I have had this code once or twice before on this vehicle only everything dealing with the coolant seems to be working perfectly nothing is overheating this car is being driven about 35 to 70 mi a day as far as I know the scan tool is very capable The owner may not be
