P3009 with P0AA^ under TBS-0306-08

    i had start problem with my prius 2005 with millege 201700 its show sing red triangle with tpms and after put in park it shows all sign on and wont start up i took the care to toyota shop they give report after tech stream they found code P3009 with P0AA6 under 0306-08 they say it need replace transaxle and when i inspect the hybrid batter i found 2 cells leaking electrolytes now i am confuse even if i replace the transaxle cost about 1700 for used and 4000 for new one after that still i have same code come back because of cells leaking can any one give me advise what i need to do exactly

    maybe time to trade for a newer version.

    but if you'd rather repair it, get tech stream and use the service manual to diagnose and troubleshoot.

    it s sometimes the case that you have more than one problem, but you can only follow the guidelines and hope for the best.
    you've got the battery apart, why not clean it up, replace bad cells, rebalance, reinstall, then see what's next?

    toyota shop make me confuse whats axact cause either it is bad transaxle cause that or hybrid batter

    generally, they don't know themselves. some things can get complicated, and the codes cannot narrow it down enough.
    they could be right, but that can get expensive if you're paying a dealer to throw parts at it.
