I'm looking at a Dealers site and they are saying that a Package #1 -- includes AM/FM CD with six speakers, auxiliary audio jack and MP3/WMA playback capability, Smart Key System, [5] and backup camera [11] costs $825 extra & that a Package #2 -- includes AM/FM CD with six speakers, auxiliary audio jack and MP3/WMA playback capability, Smart Key System, [5], backup camera [11] and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [4] costs $575. Is there something I'm missing? It just doesn't make sense! Can someone explain this to me? Because Ive been looking at #1's, but if #2's are cheaper!! (i searched & didn't find any info, so I'm askin!) TIA!!
You are not the only one confused. My dealer is too. My dealer told me Toyota lowered all the prices on the packages EXCEPT package #1. I believe this took place on "Earth Day". Toyota actually sent dealers new window stickers to reflect the lower prices. My dealer is having a hard time selling a Prius with package #1.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(h2photo @ May 7 2007, 02:48 PM) </div> We purchased the #1 and the OEM Prius floor mats front, rear and cargo area came with it, I am sure we paid for them somewhere though, but a # 1 we paid 19,175.00 and got better than book on our jeep trade in very happy even more since we bought gas was at 2.33 now 3.00 here. we finally made a good purchase . also our carbon footprint is smaller now that is always good!! Good luck on your new purchase
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(n2cars @ May 7 2007, 02:19 PM) </div> This is disheartning. What about all the people that paid more for their packages? Does this mean we will get a refund?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusincc @ May 7 2007, 09:31 PM) </div> Don't think so, it is just another incentive package since the special finance is gone this is a marketing tool.
