I just finished cleaning the Hybrid Battery Cooling system and in the process I felt to be safe I pulled the Hybrid Battery Power Interlock. And of course I put everything back together and reinserted the interlock plug all the way and slid it to the right to LOCK, but now I am getting a Hybrid System Malfunction message on my display. I didn't touch the battery itself at all, is there a "reset" I need to do or can do by myself? Or am I screwed and going to have to get a dealer to fix it? Any suggestions or hints please! I'm panicking here! Thanks in advance.
slide the switch after locking it down. if that isn't it, you probably disconnected a wire at the fan.
Not an uncommon occurrence. Apparently that interlock doesn't work exactly the way you would logically think. It's been discussed here a few times. Maybe a search for "interlock" would find it.
Have you tried starting the car a second time? Usually after working at the HV-battery and having it disconnected you get error messages on the display. Usually they disappear with the second trial.
