We've notice that the Prime's parallel parking assist leaves the car quite far from the curb... about a foot. Anyone else noticing this? It's within the law for California, (up to 18 inches), but puts the car out into the lane more than other parked cars, which feels a bit hazardous. Here's the video we made to show how it works and how far it ends up from the curb:
I have it but have not used it yet. Was afraid it might scrap the curb since the car is so low. A foot away sounds good to me.
I noticed that my Prime aligns to the driverside edge of the car behind of my car when pallarel parking. Your video shows a wide truck behind you. I think that is why your car ended up parking with wide margin from the curve. I think your car would be right up against the curve had you had a compact car behind you.
