Regarding the American 2016-2017 prius model: Does the park assist feature (ICS/IPA) only help park the car, or does it also work while driving- i.e. alerts you when your car is too close to other cars or building corners?
Yes and no. They use the same sensors but fall under a different name. ICS - Intelligent Clearance Sonar. It will tell you about objects nearby and will automatically brake if there’s something in front or behind. I don’t believe it’ll brake for side objects - just a warning only.
