My 2nd generation prius (2004) was manufactured and bought in Europe. I am having a problem with Parking Brake system. Mostly the usa priuses have drums on the rear wheel, but mine has an ordinary brake pads (not drums) like other cars do.

Problem is that the Parking brake (foot) is not working properly and i have to change wiring (think it's stuck).
Does smbdy have information - is the EU and USA prius brake wiring same? Here i can buy only American car parts.

According to Toyota’s Electronic Parts Catalog, none of the four parking brake cable assemblies used on Prius cars built for sale in Europe is also used on any vehicle built for sale in the U.S. or Japan.

For left-hand drive European models built through February 2004, the service part numbers for parking brake cable assemblies No. 1 through No. 4 are, respectively, 46410-47060, 46420-47060, 46430-47060, and 46440-47030.
