Passenger Door Lock Sticking

    I have a 2010 Prius and noticed that lately I sometimes have to press either lock or unlock several times before the little black and red switch moves to either lock or unlock.

    Sometimes it won't lock or unlock at all and I have to manually move the switch with my finger.

    Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a known problem with this year Prius? Will a little oil/WD-40 fix the problem?

    If you are under 3 years/ 36000, you should bring it to Toyota to have it replace under warranty. The door activator is defective and you should not fix it by oil/WD-40. Replacement of the activator is not cheap.
