I have a new 2024 Prius LE. While waxing it, I discovered what I initial thought was a scratch on the lower part of the driver's side passenger door. I checked and there was an identical 'scratch' on the other passenger door. Therefore, I concluded it wasn't a scratch but is there for a reason. The 'scratch' actually is continuous and 'forms' what could be a door (long and narrow). It is deep enough (wide enough) so that a fingernail fits in it. When waxing, it collects the wax (and dirt) making it apparent. Does anyone have an idea as to what it is (why it is)? Thanks.
There's a quite thick triangular clear plastic protection piece applied from the factory on the inset part of the rear doors below the styling crease. (It's shown in all the repair and parts manuals as the "rear door rear protector assembly"). Are you describing the lower edge of that?
