Hey, so i'm trying to take a roadtrip in my parents Prius tomorrow, but when I got in it tonight to take it for a test drive the passenger side window refuses to go up.

All other windows work just fine. There is also a small light illuminated on the dash that looks like (!)

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

The (!) is the TPMS giving a tire pressure warning. It should be unrelated to the window.

Not sure if this is your issue, but on my previous car I had a similar issue, and it was related to the anti-trap feature. I had to reinitialize it. On that car, you pressed and held the window button until it went fully up, then held an additional 5 secs; and then repeated the process downward.

Sounds tough to do if the window won't go up at all.

Check fuse #15 above the driver's foot well. It should be a 25 amp that protects the circuit of the passenger's front window. If blown, find out what caused it as replacing it may not solve the issue. Do your parents recall the circumstance of the failure?

Do everybody else's remedies first (I think it's the fuse). If they don't work, it could be that the motor is dead or about to go dead (just one of those things). Try this: Locate about where the motor for the window would be. With the window button pressed in the direction you want the widow to go (in this situation, up), bang on the inside of the door with your fist about where the motor would be located. Do this as hard as you can but not so hard that you will cause any damage to the car door or your fist. If you had an old car, I'd tell you to use a rubber mallet or even take the door lining off. The reason not to use a mallet on a new car is because people get carried way. Sometimes the motor freezes and this can get it unstuck. But it's a last-ditch thing to try, and generally, only use it in case you really have to. Somebody mentioned resetting some setting. If you temporarily have to get the window to go in a certain direction, this might be an alternative. Otherwise, you'll have to take it into the shop.

This might be a dumb suggestion but did you turn off the lock on the drivers side?? I accidentally forgot to disable the window lock and spent 25 minutes befuddled.
