I have had some problems with the wiper arm going too low on the downstroke and rubbing on the frame. I moved the arm up and then it started rubbing with other blade. I moved it back down and it rubbed again. Then next time I tried the wipers the passenger side would not move at all, but the driver's side moves fine. It seems like something needs adjusting and should be easy. Anybody experience this before? Is it simple to fix?
It sounds like you've lost one of the bushes in the linkages, it probably came out, initially causing the arm to be out of line then the link to the arm fell out of the joint.
