Permanent snorkel/resonator removal

    Stumbled upon a trove of treasures written by the HOBBIT about Prius issues. I noticed it in his maint100k page. Can't post the link as I don't have enough posts.

    He apparently permanently removed the snorkel/resonator that feeds air to the engine. Claimed no issues whatsoever.

    The thing is a bit in the way and while I don't have any real pressing need to remove it, just wondering if this is common/recommended/has anyone else done it?
