Promised far ago, it has been launched but not in a full scale yet. Only 300 (numbered and tagged) are to be delivered in a few weeks time... It's the first known diesel hybrid produced. Here in Europe many people see this much of a future. I don't, it's too complex and expensive, and does not pollute less than a petrol hybrid vehicle. Labeled as EURO 3,8l/100km (61,8MPG), this 2liter 163hp SUV/minivan will be ahead of the Prius + in the market. Price 39.950eur = 56000usd (comparison Opel Ampera = Chevy Volt = said to be 42500eur)

Those diesel-hybrid seem to me as a tandem system. Like railway locomotives. In this case, it can be named as a split system, first "lightweight" passenger car...obviously with a battery. HEV don't refer to it, that's true.
