Please help Toyota prius '05 trouble

    Hello all took my Prius to the garage when my dashboard lit up as pictured asked him to solve the problem but he had no luck spent £700 and still have all the warning lights advice was ev battery is this always the case or can it be something else just want to see if anyone else has experienced these

    Generally look under cover of battery the big one behind rear seat. Check battery computer internals

    It’s indeed the HV battery, it can be replaced partly (blocks) or the entire battery, OEM or refurbished.

    For such an old car I would recommend check for listings on Craigslist etc (US?) for people preparing a refurbished complete block and are doing the entire swap, you leave your old block/core to them for their benefit and your rebate.

    I did this on my 2007 G2 that had not been driven for eight months 2022…. Bad and sad, but I learned a lot due to this.

    Cost me 400eu, and this sum included this nice guy coming to my home, installed a fully checked and refurbished HV battery - and checked it all with techstream. Worked great for my instance, HV battery are still reaching green bars.

    Your mileage may naturally vary….
