This is a practice table looking at plug-in vehicles. In January 2017 we should a new crop, a wider selection, so I'll be making a similar table then. But I wanted to give folks a clue as to what I value: metric\model 2014 BMW i3 Rex 2014 Chevy Volt 2014 Ford C-MAX Plug-In Hybrid 2014 Toyota Prius Plug-In 1 TSS-P safety Yes No No No 2 volume ft{3} 99 108 119 116 3 MPGe 117 98 88 95 4 MPG 39 37 38 50 5 total range 150 380 550 540 6 EV range 72 38 - - 7 EV blended - - 20 11 8 Gas range 78 342 530 529 9 EV HP 168 149 91 24 10 drive rear front front front 11 Savings $ 3500 2750 2750 3500 12 eBay sold $ 26480 16500 12000 13999 13 11300 15950 14 10000 14500 15 eBay not sold $ 29980 15750 11780 16250 16 30980 17500 14197 18800 17 30980 17977 13500 16495 TSS-P (or equivalent) - REQUIRED - 66 year old driver, +66 year old mobility impaired Interior volume - REQUIRED - 2 adults and 2 dogs City MPG - weight 5x City range - weight 5x Drive wheels - rear 3x to support towing Drive HP - 3x to support towing Highway range - 3x Highway MPG - 3x Purchase $ - bracketed by $28.5k to $33k, source Bill Penny Toyota for 2016 Level 3 with TSS-P Requirements and weighting are derived by individual family needs. My local plug-in owners group already maintains a list of similar info. There's a nice spreadsheet available here... mnpevmodels
Thanks @john1701a. My focus is more on plug-ins and I noticed the BMW i3-REx was not in their list. As for source data, @bisco, I'm using www.fueleconomy.gov source. I'll be able to download the CSV file from them and only have to research prices. Bob Wilson
