Hi everyone, I have 4 TPMS sensors off a 2016 Corolla S. I bought a set of S wheels and drove with the TMPS indicator on for 2 months, finally got a set of used 107J and programmed to make the system functioning again. Thus now I am selling the 4 PMV-C010 sensors. I am asking for $100, same I paid for the set I purchased. The sensors off from a 2015 production 2016 model Corolla, PMv-C010, they can work with Prius C's and 2014 up Corollas, not sure about 2016 Prius or other cars. I prefer not to ship as I don't know how to, I would think meeting up somewhere in the Easy Bay? A downtown police station or Starbucks? Please let me know what are your thoughts. Thanks.
When you install these, write down the unique number on each sensor before installing. You need to enter this number using TechStream. TechStream can't read the numbers for you and if you don't write them down before you install them you'll have to pull the tires off.
The good news is that you can see them in the picture! Be sure to check these are compatible with your vehicle. They apparently won't fit my 2009 Gen 2.
Yes, shops can do this wirelessly with a TPMS tool, reading the sensor id and then plug into the OBD 2 connector to apply to the car's computer. The shop installed and programmed my 4 compatible sensors for $40, or 10 bucks each, and gave me back the factory Corolla sensors. Of course buying that wireless reader tool yourself would cost a few hundred dollars, but for shops, these are must haves and compare to other shop tools, not expensive at all. I recommend writing down the sensor id's just in case, but that shouldn't be a problem since like air_boss mentioned, most tire shops have the tool nowadays and can be done wirelessly.
