Not surprising but somewhat similar to http://priuschat.com/forums/other-c...fuel-economy-standards-50-mpg-poll-finds.html... Poll: 73% of Americans believe that reducing dependency on fossil fuels is important — Autoblog Green Polls like this are always funny... Let's see how much Americans actually act or whether they'll continue w/their status quo buying of land barges when gas is "cheap" and still buying way too many when it's expensive...
thats because 27% of Americans are clueless. does anyone think that Obama's energy future speech will help get more EV support out there. the EV highway project is a great beginning, but we need much much more than that including much more favorable laws regarding renewables, home power generation and power buy back rates to make it fly.
And 73+% of Americans believe "the other guy" needs to cut back. IMO it's not going to happen until gas stays over $4/gallon.
Yup. Either the govt has to mandate it or gas prices have to get to $4 again. The question is whether those poll-watching politicians have the guts to LEAD. What with the cost of TV advertising, they can't afford to lead anymore. They have become a bunch of poll-watching followers.
