Local event - Cars & Coffee - you'll see just about anything that you can drive. This was what I saw last year, and only recently read up on it. 918 spyder. Removable hard top. Lots of carbon fiber. Plug it in & get 10 to 15 ev miles. Go fast, and between the motors and ICE, you get almost 900hp ... 0-60mph in 2.2 seconds (fastest of any production car) .... and 0-100mph in under 5 seconds. It can drive very quietly, or very loudly. Road & Track (iirc) found it to make it around a slalom track faster than any production car, by 1/2 a second. For those Prius & PiP owners that complain of soft handling .... this may cure their complaints. .
Yep - only due to over sized / unmanageable crowd size, it's been moved farther south - rotating from one place to another while they try & find a new / permanent home. .
My understanding is that the new location has been established in a shopping center in Laguna Niguel. They have been meeting there for several months.
