There's a story in today's Sunday Oregonian (requires login) about hybrid vehicles. It's really shallow and ends with singing the praises of the Honda Fit, but it has an interesting chart showing the growth of hybrid vehicles registered in Oregon. [attachmentid=7227] It also shows that Portland is the US city with the greatest number of hybrids (11.19) per 1000 households, which handily beats number two San Francisco (8.76). Now there are more hybrids in absolute numbers in SF, but we have more per KH (kilohouseholds). Eugene is number 10 at 4.64 per thousand households, which still beats Seattle at 4.26.
