Last week I got the Grille Shutter Inoperable message on my 2018 Prius Prime which kicked on the Engine Light. After one day the Grille message went away but still felt obligated to get a code reader to see the Engine Light issue since that light was still on. Another day later the Engine Light goes off as well before I could use the code reader. I plugged in the code reader anyway, I wanted to shut off the reverse beeping, and loaded Dr. Prius on my phone and everything said it was normal and that there were no codes to list. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I think that can happen if the shutter is obstructed. Maybe you had a leaf or something stuck in there?
